1. About the Extension

The 360io Desk Chrome Extension is a free productivity workspace that provides:

• Text snippet expansion and templates

• Notes

• Screenshots (visible tab capture)

• PDF viewing and editing

• Content viewer

• Portal preview

• Google Drive integration (optional)

• Appearance customization

• Two-step verification

2. Information We Collect

A. Google Sign-In

The Extension requires authentication using Google Sign-In. When you log in, we receive:

• Full name

• Email address

• Google account unique identifier (User ID)

• Account type indicator (personal Gmail or Google Workspace domain)

We do not access your Gmail messages, contacts, calendar, or any email content. Authentication is handled securely using Google OAuth standards.

B. Account Registration

Upon first sign-in, your name, email address, and account identifier are transmitted to and stored on 360io servers (api.360io.com) to create your account, enable extension functionality, and prevent abuse.

C. Content You Create (Stored Locally)

The Extension stores the following data locally on your device using chrome.storage.local and IndexedDB:

• Text snippets and templates

• Notes

• Screenshots

• PDF files you open or edit

• User preferences and appearance settings

This data remains on your device and is never sent to 360io servers unless you explicitly choose to export or save to Google Drive.

D. Google Drive Integration (Optional)

If you choose to connect Google Drive, the Extension uses the drive.file OAuth scope to:

• Save PDFs and screenshots to a designated folder in your Google Drive

• Load files you previously saved through the Extension

The Extension can only access files it creates or that you explicitly open through it. It cannot browse, read, or modify any other files in your Drive. You can disconnect Google Drive at any time.

E. Screenshots

The Extension captures a screenshot of the visible browser tab only when you explicitly click the capture button. Screenshots are:

• Stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB)

• Optionally saved to Google Drive if connected

• Never sent to 360io servers

F. PDF Editor

PDF files are processed entirely within your browser (client-side). Files are:

• Stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB)

• Optionally saved to Google Drive if connected

• Never uploaded to 360io servers

3. Content Scripts

The Extension injects the following scripts into web pages to enable core functionality:

Snippet Expander — Runs on all websites to detect when you type a snippet shortcode in a text field, then replaces it with your saved template. This script does not collect, store, or transmit any page content, browsing history, or personal data.

Media Detector — Runs on supported platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter) to detect media content for the content viewer feature. This script does not collect or transmit any personal data or browsing history.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Authenticate your identity

• Enable extension functionality

• Track legitimate usage and prevent abuse

• Improve product performance

• Provide support

• Send product updates, security notices, or feedback requests

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

We do not use your data to train AI models.

5. Data Storage and Security

Local data (snippets, notes, screenshots, PDFs, settings) is stored in your browser using chrome.storage.local and IndexedDB. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it or connect Google Drive.

Account data (name, email) is securely stored on 360io backend systems.

We implement reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect your data. Data is retained only as long as necessary for legitimate business purposes or until deletion is requested.

We may contact you regarding product updates, feature announcements, service improvements, and feedback opportunities.
